Term life insurance, insurer by insurer

Deep research on each insurer’s term-life range: current products and what they actually cover, riders, exclusions, underwriting posture, legacy plans and launch timelines. We compare benefits, not prices — term premiums are quotation-based and depend on your age, smoker status and underwriting, so an adviser confirms the numbers.

Quick answers

What is the difference between renewable and level term insurance?A renewable term plan renews in blocks (e.g. 5, 10, 20 or 30 years) at your attained age, so early premiums are lower but renewal premiums are not guaranteed and rise with age. A level term plan fixes the premium for the whole chosen term, which is cleaner for a fixed liability like a mortgage but usually costs more at the start.
Why doesn't MoneyAtlas compare term insurance prices?Term life premiums in Singapore are quotation-based and depend on your age, sex, smoker status and underwriting outcome, and insurers publish illustrations rather than a full public rate table. MoneyAtlas compares benefits, riders, exclusions and structure instead, and a licensed adviser pulls the exact premium for your profile.
What is a term insurance conversion privilege?A conversion privilege lets you convert a term policy to a whole-life, endowment or investment-linked plan without further medical underwriting, usually before age 70. It protects your future insurability if your health worsens after purchase — a genuinely valuable feature for buyers with medical history.

Term premiums aren’t public — an adviser can price them for you

A licensed adviser can:

  • Pull a live policy illustration with your exact age, smoker status and health profile
  • Compare insurers’ quotes side by side — including plans with no public rate table
  • Sanity-check how much cover you actually need before you pay for riders
